Thy wilt sing like an unfettered bird whilst feasting on this tasty cake!  This rich concoction ‘tis excellent for use as a morning cake.  Or, enjoy with a glass of cold skim milk as a mid-morning treat.

Ye Old Ingredients for Puritan Morning Dove Cake - Low Calorie, Low Fat Diet Recipe

1 Light Golden Cake Mix

1 Cup of Nonfat, Sugar-free Yogurt

¼ Cup of Water

1/3 Cup of No Calorie Refrigerated Butter Spray

3 Large Hen Eggs

½ Cup of Chopped Walnuts or Pecans

1 ½ Teaspoons Ground Cinnamon

1 Tablespoon Brown Sugar

2 Tablespoons of Dry Cake Mix, Reserved

Spray a 10 inch tube pan with non-stick cooking spray.   Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

Combine 2 Tablespoons of the cake mix, nuts, brown sugar & cinnamon, then set aside. This wilt be thy bountiful filling.

In separate bowl, mix remaining cake mix, yogurt, butter, water & egg for about 2 minutes on high speed.

Pour ½ of batter into pan, then sprinkle on filling. Top with remaining batter.

Bake about 45 minutes, or till inserted toothpick comes out clean. Serve warm with a dollop of lite whipped topping if desired.

Bohemian Sausage Links- lower fat, low calorie recipe for dieters

Serves 8 generously for about 250 calories each

To prepare this recipe you will need the following ingredients:

8 Links From Pack of Reduced Fat Sausage Links (Beef or Pork)
1 Carton of Unbaked Crescent Rolls

4 Slices of REAL Pepper Jack Cheese

Non-Stick Cooking Spray

Spray skillet with non-stick cooking spray & allow to heat.  Add links & sear.  (The heat releases additional unwanted grease in links.)  Remove & place on paper towel to absorb unwanted additional grease.

When links cool enough to touch with fingers, make a pit down the length of each with a butter knife.  Cut each cheese slice by four & tuck into each link.

Wrap in dough.  Place on baking sheet, then dust the tops with a bit of the cooking spray.  Sprinkle on parmesan cheese, if desired. Bake at 375 degree till golden.  Serve with dipping sauce.
