Diet & Weight Loss Tips for Holiday Celebrations; Keeping Weight Gain Away
The Adult Years
Chester's new diet plan was really working well for him. He had cut back on his hours at work in order to spend quality time with his family, and to enjoy a more active lifestyle. He had also began to time his meals so that he enjoyed 3 basic meals per day. He had cut out all snacks, even when watching television.
When July 4th rolled around, Chester pulled out his grill and created a masterpiece of a meal - a healthy, yummy, low calorie, low cholesterol meal.
There was roasted chicken, roasted corn - and his wife Bertha had complimented the meal with baked potatoes, iced tea with lemon and whole grain bread dusted with oats and honey.
What a nice celebration!
Chester never forgets that celebrating the holidays were the biggest contributors to his massive weight gain. The holidays would set off the marathon of eating. During the holidays between Thanksgiving and New Years, Chester wouldn't dare dampen the holiday spirit by over-eating and gaining weight.
He remembers feeling too full, too bloated and many times getting sick to his stomach because he ate far too much. He knows that he will never do that again.
Now days, Chester celebrates wisely and focuses on enjoying the reason for celebrating rather than the foods that are incorporated into the celebration. And the thing he celebrates most is his healthier body.
