Can a daily diet rich in fiber assist with weight loss and weight maintenance?

DIETING - CHESTER'S LOW FIBER DIET

Fiber aids the body in getting rid of waste and in turn, helps fight some cancers. Fiber also helps the body feel full, and to also feel full for longer periods of time.

Chester loved cheese, meat, white bread, gravy and beer - all of which contain minimal amounts of dietary fiber.

Chester would do well to choose oatmeal, whole wheat bread, beans, bran and barley. Soon, things would change in Chester's diet....

CHESTER'S HIGH FIBER DIET - DIETARY FIBER

Chester started to read about the importance of fiber in his diet. He learned that fiber not only fought against certain diseases such as cancer, but fiber also helped in keeping the digestive system in good working order, as well as keeping one feeling fuller for longer periods of time.

Chester looked for foods that were high in dietary fiber such as fresh fruits and vegetables. He also learned that walking helped keep things moving right along in his system.

He not only felt better when he enjoyed a diet rich in fiber, he also felt better. And when he added activity to his daily diet plan, he even felt stronger.

Fiber also contributed to Chester's weight loss success.  Yes, Chester was a big fan of fiber these days.

Foods that were high in dietary fiber content included: whole grain bread, seeds, nuts, bran, oats, barley, green vegetables such as broccoli, cabbage, beans, raw as well as dried fruits.
