Pig in the Blankets - Lower Calorie Recipe
Another super easy, super inexpensive lower calorie recipe from Thin Thin.
You will only need 2 ingredients: lean ground sausage and biscuits. Simply mold the sausage into patties and cook them on the stove top.
Next, allow them to cool enough so that they are easy to handle and wrap the biscuit dough around them.
Bake according to biscuit package.
Be sure to keep a lid on the biscuit calories as they range from 50 calories to over 300 calories per biscuit - depending upon the brand used.
Serve these tasty Pig in the Blankets with a bit of gravy over them if desired. Our favorite is the Pioneer Gravy Mixes which contain a scant 40 calories per serving and they are very economical and easy to prepare.
