Managing a Healthy Daily Diet on a Limited Budget
Indian Bread Recipe
This recipe is not set in stone. It's an ancient Taylor Family recipe that has always turned out wonderfully well - without the need to grab the measuring cups and spoons.
There are only 4 ingredients: flour, baking powder, salt, water. Also, grab your can of butter flavored cooking spray. Although the Taylor Family uses oil, the butter spray allows this traditional family recipe to fit easily into a healthy daily diet (minimal fat, way less calories).
I would recommend the following measurements: 1 cup of all purpose flour, 1 teaspoon of baking powder, 1/8 teaspoon of salt. Next, add water until Indian Bread can be stirred. I like mine at a stiff consistency because if it's too loose, it will flow all over the pan - much like a pancake.
Simply drop by large spoonfuls into a non stick pan sprayed with cooking spray and cook on both sides until golden brown. Delicious with gravy or healthy honey.
