Toaster Sandwiches
Our recipe for Toaster Sandwiches is untra easy, low in calories, inexpensive and delicious! Simply spray the bread on one side with the buttery cooking spray and toast on the stove top as you would regular toast.
The use of cooking spray saves fat grams and calories, but if you prefer margarine, you can use that - of course, for more calories.
Next, remove the toast from the pan when it turns a golden brown.
Assemble your toaster sandwich with the remaining ingredients, using a bit of the whipped cream cheese as a spread. The combination of the tomato, the cream cheese, the spinach, and the avocado is deliciously-explosive!
You can take this Toaster Sandwich recipe up a notch by adding sliced black olives and pine nuts.

- Ingredients for Toaster Sandwiches
- 4 slices of bread (your favorite brand/variety)
- Butter Flavored cooking spray
- deli meat (such as turkey, ham, chicken)
- cream cheese, whipped (either purchased whipped, or whipped before using)
- 1 small avocado, peeled, seeded and thinly sliced
- 1 tomato, sliced thinly
- baby spinach OR lettuce
