Mamaw's Centerpiece Cookie Recipe
A reduced calorie, reduced fat recipe.
- The Recipe Ingredients
- 1/2 cup of shortening
- 3/4 cup of Baking Splenda (1/2 Splenda and 1/2 sugar)
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

- Cream the above ingredients. Add 2 cups of flour, 1 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder, 1/4 teaspoon of salt - all of which have been sifted. Add 1 Tablespoon of skim milk.

- Form one long roll and chill in the refrigerator for at least one hour. Remove and slice before baking in a 350° preheated oven until golden - about 8 minutes. Sprinkle with colored sugar while hot if desired.
