Quick Nut Brownie Recipe
A reduced calorie, reduced fat recipe.
- The Recipe Ingredients
- Cream the following ingredients:
- 2/3 cup of shortening
- 1 1/2 cup of Splenda (or use 1/2 sugar and 1/2 Splenda)
- 2 eggs (or use egg substitute to save cholesterol and calories)

Mix the following ingredients well and add to the above mixture:

1 cup of all purpose flour

1.2 cup of dark Hershey's cocoa

1/2 teaspoon of baking powder

1/2 teaspoon of lite salt

1 Tablespoon of vanilla extract

1/2 cup of chopped pecans or walnuts

Bake in a 375° preheated oven for about 1/2 hour in an 8" square brownie pan.
