Holiday Sams I Ams - Holiday Appetizer Recipes for
Dieters
Pockets of holiday joy is about the only way that these delicious
Sams I Ams can be described. And what an excellent way
to use up those turkey leftovers once everyone grows
tired of turkey sandwiches. Another plus to our recipe
is that we've omitted the measurements of ingredients
- all except the puff pastry amount, so that you can
personally adjust the sizes of your Sams I Ams. So make
them as full or as light as you wish. All of the ingredients
are ultra low in calories and fat, except of course
the puff pastry.
You will need the following ingredients for this
diet-wise recipe:
Mushrooms - any variety, chopped or sliced
Turkey Breast, cooked, boned & either chopped
or shredded
Spinach - fresh, chopped
Onions - fresh, chopped
Your Favorite Seasonings OR Light Sauce
Puff Pastry
Cooking Spray
Saute onions, mushrooms and spinach using cooking
spray. Add chicken and spices. Next, roll out pastry
dough and divide into 9 squares. Fill, then fold over
into a triangle. Brush with 1 beaten egg if desired
for a glossy sheen. Sprinkle tops with dried seasonings,
if desired.
Bake as directed on puff pastry package.
