Fruity Fruit Salad - Holiday Dessert Recipes for
Dieters
Because the holidays are packed with so many sugary treats and
delicious treasures, our Fruity Fruit Salad makes a
nice change without sacrificing taste. And it's great
to feel good about what we eat.
Simply combine the following ingredients in a pretty
bowl and keep a container of whipped topping close by.
We recommend either Cool Whip FREE or whipping cream
in a can - the light variety which contains a scant
15 calories per serving - the same as Cool Whip FREE.
You will need the following ingredients for this
diet-wise recipe:
1 small can of fruit cocktail in its natural juice
1 large apple, cored and chopped
1/2 cup of mini marshmallows
1 small can of drained mandarin oranges in natural
juice
1 Tablespoon of shredded coconut
1 Tablespoon of chopped walnuts
1 Tablespoon of light brown sugar
Cherries (in a jar with syrup) - 10 calories each
so use about 1/2 the jar taking care to drain off the
sugary juice
