Dieters
What are the holidays without those cute peppermint sticks? Cool
tingling mouth-experience, reminding us of the brisk
elements of the naked outdoors. You'll love dressing
up your dessert buffet with this simple, light dessert
that's easy on the eyes - and the waistline. Better
yet - no baking and it's a pie that even the kids can
help make.
You will need the following ingredients for this
diet-wise recipe:
1 small container of thawed FREE Cool Whip (15 calories
per serving)
1/2 cup of finely crushed peppermint
1 teaspoon of peppermint extract
1 graham cracker pie crust
GENTLY fold the extract and crushed peppermint into
the Cool Whip, reserving just a bit of the peppermint
for garnishing the top of the pie. Transfer to graham
cracker pie crust and top with the crushed peppermint
and mint leaves, if desired. Or, decorate with tiny
candy canes. Pop into freezer and enjoy frozen OR into
the fridge until firm for a fluffy pie treat. Drizzle
with a bit of chocolate syrup if desired as the chocolate
compliments the peppermint flavor most excellently.
