Chick-O-Stick Cake - Holiday Dessert Recipes for
Dieters
One of my favorite candy treats is the delicious Chick-O-Stick,
known to many kiddies as 'chicken legs'. Our local dollar
store sells these peanut-buttery goodies for about 10
for a buck - so what a deal. And speaking of deals,
one Chick-O-Stick contains 90 calories and takes a long
while to eat, whether one chooses to bite it off - or
simply lick-it-gone for a long lasting treat.
Our original recipe is also light on the waist and
so easy that the kiddies can help create this peanuty
holiday dessert for dieters and non-dieters alike.
You will need the following ingredients for this
diet-wise recipe:
1 small container of thawed FREE Cool Whip (15 calories
per serving)
Chick-O-Sticks - enough to encircle your cake
1 Anglefood Cake
Frost the cake with Cool Whip, then stick the Chick-O-Sticks
around the outside of the cake. A bit of crushed Chick-O-Stick
can be sprinkled on the top if desired. OR, mix crushed
Chick-O-Stick GENTLY with Cool Whip before frosting
the cake.
