Johnny Appleseed Pie - Holiday Dessert Recipes for
Dieters
Our Johnny Appleseed Pie was created with apple lovers in mind.
Another plus is that it's very skinny on the waist.
Oh, and not to forget - ultra easy to make.
You will need the following ingredients for this
diet-wise recipe:
5-6 apples - peeled and cored
1 pie crust tucked inside of a tart pan OR quiche
pan
Splenda to suit personal taste
1 small lemon OR lemon juice
Ground Cinnamon
Margarine OR Butter
Slice peeled apples very thin so that they create
a fan; spray on a bit of lemon juice to prevent browning
while you are working to arrange the apples. Arrange
apples on top of the pie dough to create one large
fan with a small fan of apples anchored in the center.
Next, dust with just a bit of ground cinnamon; then
dust with Splenda. Place a few pats of butter or margarine
on top of the pie and then bake at 350-degrees until
bubbly and crust is done - about 25 minutes.
