Yammy Whammy - Holiday Dessert Recipes for
Dieters
This recipe is certain to blow the smarts off all
the side-dishes. Yams or sweet potatoes, you can bet
your sweet pa-toot-e that our Yammy Whammys will please
your holidays dinner crowd. Sweet potatoes lend that
beautiful orange to the holiday table and are packed
with a volley of vitamins.
You will need the following ingredients for this
diet-wise recipe:
4 large sweet potatoes - baked with jackets removed
and cut into chunks
1 teaspoon of salt
1/4 - 1/2 cup of brown sugar depending upon how sweet
you like it (or use Splenda to save more calories)
1/2 cup of mini marshmallows (white)
2 Tablespoons of ground cinnamon
Mix together in a large baking pan and top with the
following recipe. Bake at 350-degrees in a preheated
oven until top is golden brown.
TOPPING RECIPE:
Simply mix flour and sugar, then
use fingers to work margarine into dry mixture until
it resembled tiny crumbs. Place on top of sweet potatoes before baking.
1/2 cup of all-purpose white flour
1/2 cup of packed brown sugar
1/4 cup of margarine
1/4 cup of chopped pecans OR walnuts OR a combination
of both
