Peasant Flat Bread
Ingredients
- 7 - 8 Cups
of White or Wheat Flour
- 3 Cups of
Skimmed Milk
- 1 Tablespoon
of White Distilled Vinegar
- 1 Hen Egg
- ½
Teaspoon Salt
- Powdered
Sugar (Optional)
Add vinegar to milk to
form buttermilk. Set aside. Next, combine remaining ingredients.
Add buttermilk. Form dough balls. Adjust thy flour as needed.
Knead thoroughly, till
thy arms ache & thy hath need of a barber & Village Tired-Muscle Cream.
Press dough balls into
flat circles. Cook bread on a flat iron skillet sprayed with non-stick
cooking spray. Cook about 2 minutes for each side, or till it reaches
a golden brown color. Flatbread wilt sound hollow when clicked by thy
painted nail.
Dust with a good sprinkling
of powdered sugar, if thy desire. Serve with 1 Tablespoon of honey, or
reduced calorie syrup, or a Tablespoon of thy favorite jam or preserve.
Servings wilt vary, according
to the size of thy preferred circle.
