cup serving hath about 35 calories
- Ingredients
for Low Fat, Low Calorie Recipe
- 1 Bunch
of Turnips & Greens From the Village Market
- 2 Slices
of Microwaved Bacon
- Salt &
Pepper to the Personal Taste
Wash greens & place
into large boiling pot. Peel turnips & leave whole. Place into
pot & add salt, pepper & about 2 cups of water. The greens will
cook swiftly & ‘melt’ into the water. Cover with lid & leave a
spot so the steam can escape. Cook until tender, about 30 minutes. Crumble
bacon on top. Heaven!
Serve with a bit of vinegar
sprinkled onto the greens & turnips, if desired. Or, spray liberally
with no calorie butter spray. Enjoy with a tack of sweet cornbread.
