Serves 10 generously for about 150 calories each
Orange Thee Sweet makes a tasty spring or summer salad that is very kind
to the waistline. Bring out the velvet hopping skirts! Bring out
the unchastised belts!
Bring out the clodhoppers for the will be dancing
in the village streets, singing the praises of this light, luscious salad. Dieting
can bring merry after all!
- Ingredients
for Low Fat, Low Calorie Recipe
- 1 - 8 Ounce Cartonof Light Cottage Cheese
- 1 - 16 Ounce Can of Crushed Unsweetened Pineapple, Undrained
- 1 Small Package of Orange Sugar-Free Gelatin
- 1 Small Can of Mandarin Oranges, Drained
- 1 – 8 Ounce Container of Lite Whipped Topping
Drain the large can of tasty pineapple, reserving the juice. Set pineapple
aside. Drain teensy can of Mandarin Oranges, mixing the juice with the
previously drained pineapple juice. Doeth not drink this appealing concoction!
Proceed directly to the next step & resist the temptation.
Next, prepare gelatin according to the directions on the package, substituting
the pineapple juice & the Mandarin Orange juice for the water. Be
certain to measure out the juice & add enough water in order to create the
fully recommended liquid for preparing gelatin. Do NOT chill. Instead,
gallop to the following step.
Add pineapple & Mandarin Oranges to the prepared liquid gelatin.
Next, carefully stir in the Cartonof cottage.
Finally, very gently fold in the thawed whipped topping.
Transfer to a pretty serving bowl or dish. Chill until very firm. Additional
whipped topping may’st be desirable as a tasty garnish.
