Jalapeno Fried Cheese

These delicious little golden nougats will make thee hot to trot! Villagers
live for fried cheese & when combined with fiery peppers it’s a taste meant
for a King!
But a lowly pauper can enjoy these tasty hot bites, too!
The seeds contain much of the heat of the pepper, so remove all that the
see. The use of plastic gloves would’st be a very wise decision. If
the choose to remove the seeds bare handed, take care not to touch the eyes.
If possible, before using the bare hands, try to remove the seeds using two
sharp knives, or a fork & a sharp knife. Hold the pepper with the
fork, then pit the pepper with the knife.
- Ingredients
for Low Fat, Low Calorie Recipe
- ½ Dozen Jalapeno Pickled Peppers, Seeded
- 2 Ounces of Monterey Jack Cheese Sliced Into Matchsticks
- 3 Sheets of Filo Dough (Found in Freezer Section of the Market)
- Non-Stick Cooking Spray
- Salt
Peppers must be drained, seeded & patted completely dry before stuffing
with cheese.
Next, wrap pepper in Filo Dough.
Place on sheet lined with foil & sprayed with cooking spray.
Next, spray wrapped peppers with a bit of spray.
Sprinkle with salt.
Bake in preheated oven at 400 degrees until golden. Serve with a bit
of light sour cream if desired.
A milder pepper may’st be used. Substitute Monterey Jack for Pepper
Jack cheese.
