Teens & Weight Loss - About Limiting Carbs for Weight Control

There are two types of carbs: Simple and Complex. Carbs act as energizers and are a necessary part of total nutrition. Without carbs, we would feel very sluggish and molty.   At this time, we strongly discourage any type of low carb diet plan for teens.    

The trick is to enjoy more Complex Carbs in your diet rather than Simple Carbs such as:

- brown rice- oats
- whole wheat bread
- whole grain cereals
- whole wheat pasta
