Seaside Side Bread Recipe

Our low calorie diet bread recipe for teens. Entire Loaf contains about 1,450 calories

A light breeze, a light kiss and a light loaf of Seaside Bread - the perfect formula for creating that perfect day. We recommend that you use minimal light margarine on this bread recipe. You might enjoy the no calorie butter spray which stores nicely in the fridge. 

My husband and I also like to enjoy this bread recipe with a bottle of carbonated grape juice - the kind that comes in what looks like a wine bottle, but it's non-alcoholic.

Seaside Bread Ingredients

1 ½ Cups of Water
1 Package of Active Dry Yeast

3 ½ Cups of Bread Flour

1 ½ Teaspoons of Salt
1 ½ Tablespoon Sugar

1 Tablespoon of crushed fresh or dried rosemary

Toss all ingredients in a bread machine & allow time as recommended by the machine instructions for a regular loaf of bread. You can also knead the bread dough by hand.  If you choose to knead dough by hand, knead until the bread is elastic-like. Set aside in a bowl that has been lightly oiled and cover with a damp cloth.

Allow to rise until doubled. Punch down shape into loaf allow to rise again.  

Preheat oven to 350 degrees and bake the Seaside Bread until golden brown.

Remove &brush with no calorie butter OR spray with non-stick, butter flavored cooking spray.

Sprinkle on a bit of dried oats (whole oatmeal) if desired and if rosemary is omitted. Allow to cool before cutting with a bread knife.

For an added treat, separate and bake in individual dishes. Cut a hole in cooled bread to form a well after baking.

Fill with your favorite reduced fat cream of chicken, cream of asparagus, cream of mushroom or cream of celery soup. Reduced fat cheese soup may also be used.
