Healthy Tips for Broccoli
Healthy Tip #1 - Create a lower calorie version of Broccoli Cheese Soup by using jarred cheese sauce found in the chip department at your local market. Opt for the 30-calories per serving version. Add 1-2 cups of skim milk (to suit personal taste). Add 1/2 cup of cooked chopped broccoli and heat until bubbly. 
Healthy Tip #2 - I've always referred to broccoli as the Broom of the Gut as it is a powerful food in keeping the digestive track in a healthy state. The downside is that broccoli tends to have unwanted side effects; chiefly gas. When consumed with other gassy foods, the side effects are intensified. So the next time you enjoy broccoli, you can avoid 'not enjoying' its gassy effects by keeping other gassy foods to a minimum and/or accompanying your meal with a 'gas' tablet to snuff-out the side effects.
Healthy Tip #3 - The next time you enjoy a salad, toss a few raw broccoli trees in the bowl for a blast of natural health.
Healthy Tip #4 - Topping broccoli with sauces and cheese is taste-appealing but unfortunately, not waist-appealing. Even so, saucy broccoli can still be enjoyed. When making sauces and adding cheese, opt for the skinnier products and your end result will contain less fat and calories.
Healthy Tip #5 - If you enjoy your broccoli with butter (or margarine), be sure to only use a pat from a stick. Those butter and margarine tubs can spell Diet Disaster as it's more difficult to gauge serving sizes.
