Diet & Weight Loss Motivation - My Diet Motivator Ace

This is the tale of Diet Goddess Nadia and her friend Ace.

Diet Goddess Nadia discovered that she was packing on a lot of unwanted pounds while lodged inside the palace walls. Cookies here, noodles there, roasted spareribs everywhere.

Even though Nadia had everything that any young goddess could ever wish for, she was bored beyond imagination. Same old, same old, day in, day out. Soon, Nadia's life would change...

On Nadia's 55th birthday, her great grandmother decided that Nadia needed something to add spark to her life. Not a prince, but a critter named Ace. Queenie had fallen in love with Ace on sight. She had been visiting the local super-mart and a couple of young lads were trying to find a good home for Ace. Lucky Ace, for he was going to the palace.

Nadia too, fell immediately in love with Ace! So much so, that she kissed his fuzzy muzzle when Queenie presented him to her. You may think that Ace turned into a prince - but oh no - keep in mind that this IS a diet story. And what happened was unusually deLIGHTful!

Ace begged for Nadia to take him walking around the palace grounds. Every day, they would spend hours running and playing in the royal meadows together. So much fun - and how could Nadia be having fun and losing weight at the same time? But she was!

Moral of the Diet Story - Losing weight doesn't have to be 'nails on a blackboard'. Discover something that you love to do if you are in need of ditching unwanted pounds. Keeping your mind satisfied helps pass time in a pleasant manner. Soon, you'll find yourself not only happier - but trim as well!

Goddess at the Diet Oasis...Fiddle While Diet Roams

There is a lot of fiddling around in the world today, as daily diets roam free. A Diet Fiddler sort of closes their eyes to calories and fat, and enjoys feasting for the moment. In the back of their mind, they are a lot like those who fear going to the doctor because the doctor might actually discover something bad. They figure, "What I don't know, won't hurt me."  Weighty thoughts may go something like this, "If I am not aware of the amount of calories and fat that I am consuming, I cannot possibly gain more weight."

So the individual grabs all those goodies that they like and enjoys their fill. It may be a platter of cookies, or a pan of brownies, or a rack of ribs. It may only be one cookie, one slice of cake, and four slices of pan pizza within a few hours of a normally scheduled meal. Grazing is common with Diet Fiddlers.

The individual may even think, "I am too fat to lose all the extra weight." OR, "Why bother? I'll worry about losing weight after the holidays OR after I hit the big five-o."

Unfortunately for the Dieter who is fiddling around and allowing their diet to roam free, what they don't know may cause grief and future health problems. Ignoring the amount of calories that one eats throughout the day doesn't make them go away - as the Diet Fiddler soon discovers as unwanted weight continues to pack on.

Possible solution:  One of the best solutions to keep a diet on track is to make a list throughout the day of everything that is eaten. At the end of the day, grab a calorie book and add up all the calories that have been consumed. This technique will allow the individual to see just how many calories they are consuming, and will help them trim back the amount of calories that are needed to achieve weight loss.

The Weight Loss Grapes of Wrath

Sometimes, no matter what a Weight Loss Goddess does to keep her weight in check, things go awry. Whether it's hormones, that time of the month, too much sodium in the diet, or those two packages of evil cupcakes from lunch yesterday...the weight scales just aren't being cooperative. In fact, it's so frustrating that the Weight Loss Goddess often feels like finding a vat of grapes and stomping them to death.

But rather than all that stomping - even though it is good exercise - try freezing those grapes. After they are frozen, enjoy them one little bite at a time while you think out a new weight loss strategy. Think:

How can my diet be more effective?

Am I really on track with my diet, and have only hit a bump in the road, or is it really working?

Why am I allowing my diet to depress me? I'll simply devise a new plan, then move forward. No sense in fretting over the number on my weight loss scales!

Now, enjoy another frozen grape - because those are very good thoughts!
