Weight Gain Caused by Daily Diet Menu

George was feeling overwhelmed with weight gain registering on his scales these days. Everything had been just fine until a few months ago, right after his wife had taken that exotic food cooking course at the local college. He found himself reaching for seconds more often than not, particularly on those days when pasta controlled the menu.

How Your Daily Diet Can Cause Weight Gain

Food is energy and energy is food.  That's why it is so important to stagger our meals throughout the day.  The body utilizes the energy to function, and makes us feel our best when we consume our food wisely.

Trouble with weight gain generally ensues whenever an individual begins enjoying too much of a good thing.  Although foods are not equal in calories due to preparation methods or the varieties used, our body is merely a processing machine. We add the energy, and it does the rest.

When we add too much energy it has little choice but to store away the unneeded energy inside our fuel tanks (i.e. fat cells).  And that's when we experience the effects of weight gain.

In Summary

Spacing meals throughout the day is important because it helps regulate our sugar (energy) levels and keeps the body functioning at its best.  However, reaching for seconds generally encourages weight gain - unless the foods are ultra low in calories such as raw mushrooms, radishes and carrots.  But even the calories from a carrot will be stored in our fat cells if our bodies have consumed our required level of energy for the day.

Bottom line for combating weight gain: Stick to three healthy meals per day and a couple of healthy snacks.  Balance diet with exercise and be sure to take in ample fluids.

Oh - and be prepared should your partner take up an exotic cooking class.

Please meet with your personal physician to determine and/or verify the cause of weight gain.  With so many solutions available these days, weight gain is getting much easier to accomplish.
