Dieting - Targeting Belly Fat
Diet & Weight Loss Tips, Diet Advice, Diet Article
Can weight loss be targeted to specific areas of the body, such as the belly?
No. Absolutely not.
Although many weight loss commercials and ads would have us believe that this amazing feat can be accomplished, it's basically Weight Loss Mumbo Jumbo intended to sell products that often times produce unfavorable health effects.
When weight loss occurs, it occurs initially from within.
Of course, the external form of the body eventually reveals the weight loss results by producing a trimmer shape. But those results impact the entire body - not just the belly but also in the arms, thighs, hips and so forth.
Exercise can render the appearance of a trimmer belly, but it's important to keep in mind that muscle weighs more than fat. Muscle also takes more calories to support than fat - something quite appealing to those seeking a trimmer belly.
Therefore, if you have specific areas of the body that you desire to look trimmer, work on those areas via exercise targeted to shrink fat and build muscle. As to weight loss supplements and diet pills that claim to do such - turn away. That's right. Now run!
