Food is an addiction that is difficult to conquer. In fact, I consider the worst of all addictions because you can't get away from food. If we don't eat, we die. Therefore, there is a constant temptation.
If you find that you are unable to overcome your eating disorder, please see your doctor to determine which method might be most successful for you. With professional guidance and personal perseverance, there is nothing that you can't overcome. Recognizing the problem is the first step in overcoming any vice.
Generally in my personal experience I have found that overweight and obesity issues are related to something in the individual's past. It may have been a trying childhood. During youth, the individual may have experienced a rocky relationship, thus turning to food for comfort.
If underlying reasons are the reason for the weight gain, the excess weight can still be lost. When hidden or ignored circumstances responsible for the individual's overweight state are addressed, the rate of weight loss success is much higher.
Amid times of stress in our lives, food offers comfort and helps us to relax. When we have excessive stress or abuse in our lives, eating disorders are more prevalent.
