Do Diet Teas Work for Weight Loss?
Diet & Weight Loss Tips, Diet Advice, Diet Article
The Dangers & Risks of Diet Tea
Many diet teas work on the premise that the sooner food is passed through the digestive track, the more impressive the weight loss results. In other words, the longer that food sits in the gut, the more time it has to turn into weight gain.
Therefore, many diet teas contain ingredients that promote this theory, often leaving the dieter with intense cramps, digestive woes and severe diarrhea, at times requiring a trip to the emergency room - and sometimes to a funeral home. Yes indeed, diet teas can prove fatal.
Our recommendation is to run as far as you can from diet teas and embrace green tea which contains anti-oxidant powers.
- In our experience, we've never known anyone to lose weight by implementing diet tea into their daily routine.
- Some diet teas are formulated to increase metabolism which can impact circulatory and heart health negatively. The individual may tremble, feel ill to their stomach or vomit. They may also feel dizzy and even pass out as blood pressure is raised to dangerous levels.
- If a diet tea formula acts like a diuretic to expel water from the body, it can cause serious health issues for some individuals, particularly those with hidden health conditions such as kidney disease and blood pressure issues.
If you must enjoy a diet tea, along with our suggestion of green tea we recommend your favorite 'normal' tea and sugar substitute for zero calories.
