Vic goes to work day in and day out. It's especially difficult to return to work after he has experienced an enjoyable weekend. Vic is so weary of the same old routine -working nine to five, day in and day out - and just living for the weekends. And to make the situation even more disparaging, he doesn't seem to be getting anywhere today in the realm of his budget.
Suddenly, it's Friday - payday and the gateway to the weekend! Vic is suddenly refueled. He was so tired when Monday came along, and was concerned that he would even have enough energy to make it through the week, and here he is, totally prepared for a weekend of golf, swimming and a backyard bar-b-que. As Vic glances at his check, a smile touches his lips. Yeah, he wishes it were more, but he did okay for the week. Finally, all his hard work for the week paid off.
Such is dieting. Like Vic, it's impossible to measure accomplishments on a day-to-day basis. However, as time passes, little things add up to be a lot.
