Breads & Grains

with healthy grains that will stay with you a lot longer than plain white
bread - turning that tummy growl from lion to purr.
Fats - Rather than saturate your foods with fatty oils, add foods to your diet that are rich in natural oils such as fish which are naturally rich in Omega 3's for a healthier heart and a healthier you. Olive oil is a great choice when nothing but oil will do in a recipe. Nuts are also a great source for natural oil, but keep in mind that they are high in fat and high in calories. Always measure to ensure you're getting a healthy done. Try adding a couple of chopped nuts to a salad. A little goes a long way in satisfying the appetite and in keeping fat consumption under control.
Vegetables & Fruits - Keep in mind that the closer your diet is to raw, the healthier your diet will be. Dip fruits into yogurt; dip veggies into light salad dips or balsamic vinegar.
Dairy - Reach for the skim dairy alternatives to achieve weight loss faster. Cheese has gotten a bad rap over the years, but an ounce of cheese with a few apple wedges makes a very delicious, nutritious and healthy diet snack.
