What is BMR?  BMR is the rate that your metabolism works when burning energy (i.e. foods in the daily diet).  Some people have a higher BMR than others, and those who don't generally look for methods to boost their metabolic rate. When dieting, even those individuals who have exceptional BMR's look for ways to enhance their already-stellar BMR because a faster metabolism equals faster weight loss.

- Boost your activity level which will in turn, boost your metabolism rate.
- Eat breakfast (this starts your metabolism going for the day), so you'll naturally get a head start.
