CREAMY SHAKES- DIET SHAKE RECIPES

Menu Suggestion: Try incorporating this tasty slim shake and this diet recipe in your daily diet menu:

I-Do-Hoed Tators - Start with a medium potato.  Wash, then pop into the microwave until done. Remove and top with the following: 1 slice of 70 calorie cheese, no calorie butter spray, 1 Tablespoon of light sour cream, 1 teaspoon of bacon bits, chives and chopped tomatoes (optional).  About 250 calories.

OR this diet recipe:

West Virginia Baked Ham - The Ingredients: three ounces of boneless ham; 1 Tablespoon of brown sugar, 1 Tablespoon of Splenda, 2 pineapple rings.  Rub ham with sugars; top with pineapple and bake until done.  About 200 calories.

Serves 4 for about 150 calories each

 

Ingredients for this yummy Diet Shake:
1 small box of sugarfree/fatfree Butterscotch instant pudding
3 cups of ice cold skimmed milk
2-4 ice cubes
1-4 packets of Splenda or Equal if extra sweetness is desired
2 Tablespoons of Butterscotch morsels
½ small container of whipped topping

Blend all except whipped topping. When thick and frothy, transfer to chilled serving glasses. Add topping GENTLY to each serving.  

Sprinkle with a dash of ground nutmeg or ground cinnamon if desired taking care with the sprinkling.   A tiny bit goes a very long way and if you add too much, it might ruin your shake.

Diet Shake Tip:

  • A good way to add spices to your shakes without over-spicing them is to sprinkle them in your hand, then use your forefinger and thumb to distribute.
