CANDY SHAKES- DIET SHAKE RECIPES

Menu Suggestion: Try incorporating this tasty slim shake and this diet recipe in your daily diet menu:

Massachusetts Cheese Steak - Use paper-thin extra lean beef for your recipe. We have allowed 150 calories for our beef.  Sear beef in non-stick skillet sprayed generously with butter flavored cooking spray.  

Add 1/4 cup of diced onion and 1/4 cup of diced bell pepper.  Add a dash or two of garlic salt; add ground pepper.

Remove and arrange in plate.  Pour on the following: Melt 1 ounce of Velveeta cheese (80 calories) with 1/4 cup of skimmed milk in the microwave.  Serves one for about 260 calories.

Serve in sub-style bun toasted with butter flavored cooking spray.  Spray bun; toast in pan on stovetop.  Allow 120 calories.

Captain's Courage©

Serves 3  for about 185  calories each

Ingredients for this Diet Friendly Shake
2 cups of ice cold skimmed milk
1 Three Musketeer Candy Bar
2-4 ice cubes
3 Tablespoons of chocolate syrup (We allowed 105 calories.)
1-3 packets of Splenda or Equal if extra sweetness is desired
6 Tablespoons of whipped topping
Cocoa powder, if desired for garnishing

Blend milk, candy bar, ice, sweetener and 2 Tablespoons of the chocolate syrup until frothy.   Pour into chilled glasses.

In a separate bowl, carefully incorporate remaining syrup with topping to create a mocha-colored fluff.   Spoon 2 Tablespoons into each glass.   Dust each with a bit of cocoa powder before serving.
