Menu Suggestion: Try incorporating this tasty slim shake and this diet recipe in your daily diet menu:

Indiana Harvest Bowl - Start with a Kaiser roll that contains about 140 calories.   You'll want to use the variety of rolls that are already cooked.   In our low fat, low calorie recipe for Indiana Harvest Bowl, we transform the Kaiser into crispy goodness so that it can be filled with tasty soup.

Spray very generously with non-stick, no calorie butter flavored cooking spray.   Pop into a 350 degree oven and bake until golden and crispy.   Remove and once roll has cooled enough to comfortably handle, use a sharp knife to cut a well into the roll.   Save the bread piece that you remove with the meal for dipping purposes.

Next, fill the Harvest Bowl with fat-free cream of chicken soup.   Serves one for about 200 calories.

Rootbeer Afloat© - Slimming Diet Shake Recipes

Serves 1 for about 80  calories

Ingredients for Slim Shake

1 cup of ice cold diet Rootbeer
˝ cup of low fat/light vanilla ice cream (130 calories per ˝ cup)
2 Tablespoons of whipped topping

Pour Rootbeer into frosted mugs and add ice cream.   Add topping and enjoy. 

Diet Float Tips:  

  • Check out the nutrition label of your favorite topping next time you are at the market.   You’ll find that your extra creamy oomph varies in calories – from about 15 calories per serving to 25 calories per serving, depending upon the variety you choose.
  • If you want a lighter shake, skip the topping and use only ˝ of the recommended amount of ice cream.
