CAKE & COOKIE SHAKES - SKINNY SHAKES

Menu Suggestion: Try incorporating this tasty slim shake and these diet recipes in your daily diet menu:

Pirate Pineapple Rum Smoothie - Enjoy a pineapple smoothie for about 100 calories.   Take 1 cup of skim milk, 1 ice cube OR 1 Tablespoon of crushed ice, 1 Tablespoon of fresh, frozen or canned pineapple, Splenda, 1 teaspoon of imitation rum extract and whirl in a blender.

Dakota Chili - 1/2 pound of the leanest ground beef you can lay your gloved hands on.   Add to a non-stick pot that has been sprayed with non-stick cooking spray.   As beef browns, add the following: 1/2 cup of chopped onions, 1/4 cup of chopped bell peppers, salt and pepper.   Use any color onions and pepper that you like.

Once beef has browned, add 1 can of drained dark kidney beans, 1 can of diced tomatoes and chili powder to suit your personal taste.   About 200 calories per cup.

Enjoy chili with 10 saltine crackers, 1 slice of cheese (70 calories), fresh chopped onions and chili sauce if desired (2 Tablespoons).   About 200 calories for all these fixins.

Gingersnap Shake - Slimming Diet Shake Recipes

Serves 3 for about 115  calories each or 2 for about 172 calories each

Ingredients for this Diet Shake

1 ½ cups of ice cold skim milk

6 gingersnaps (130 calories worth)

1 ripened banana

1-3 ice cubes

1-3 packets of Splenda or Equal if extra sweetness is desired 

Blend ingredients until thick and frothy.   Enjoy cold.

Diet Shake Tip:   Crumble on of the snaps and use as garnish along with a small dollop of whipped topping.
