Free Connecticut Diet Menu - Total Calories About 450

Autumn Harvest Soup - Start with 1 cup of pumpkin (or acorn squash) cooked and blended until smooth.   Place in a non-stick, thick pot. Add 1 cup of skim milk, 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon, 3 Tablespoons of Splenda, a dash of ground ginger, a dash of ground cloves and 1 Tablespoon of refrigerated no-calorie butter.   Cook until heated thoroughly.   About 3 servings for 60 calories each.

 

Thanksgiving Honeyloaf - Coat oven pan with non-stick cooking spray.   In a bowl, mix the following: 1 pounds of lean ground turkey, 2 Tablespoons of bread crumbs, 6 crumbled saltine crackers, 1 egg, salt and pepper. Press into pan top with a thick layer of catsup, then decorate with a few slices of onion and bell pepper.   Cook in preheated 375 degree oven until done - about 30 minutes.   Serves 6 for about 120 calories each.

Green Beans Bathed in Butter - Cook 3 cups of your favorite green beans until hot then top with the following mix: that has been heated together:   2 Tablespoons of no calorie butter spray, salt, pepper, 1 teaspoon of red plum jelly.   Serves 3 for about 40 calories each.

Pass the Bread, Buster - Enjoy 1 slice of your favorite bread up to 80 calories.

Dessert - Red Angel in a Cloud - Enjoy 1 sponge cake dessert cup (100 calories) filled with 1/2 cup of fresh or warmed frozen strawberries.   Top with 2 Tablespoons of LIGHT whipped topping.   Serves one for about 150 calories.   If a sweeter tart is desired, top strawberries with Splenda.
